Any of the Renaissance Company programs can be done as a Study Tours for academic credit through the School of Continuing Studies of Georgetown University. In order to receive academic credit, a participant must register for the appropriate Study Tour course in the Liberal Studies Program of the School of Continuing Studies of Georgetown University. All fees for the travel program and well as tuition for the course must be paid directly to Georgetown University, not to The Renaissance Company. For further details on registration procedure consult either Dean Vincent Kiernan, ( vjk@georgetown.edu) for undergraduate credit, or Dean Anne Ridder, ( riddera@georgetown.edu) for graduate credit. Read the Course Syllabus carefully before you register.

Registration for the appropriate course and completion of the course requirements in conjunction with the Study Tour gains 3 (or 4 ) credits awarded through Georgetown University’s School of Continuing Studies. Transfer of those credits to a degree program at another college or university requires the approval of the student’s Dean at the home institution. It is the responsibility of the student registering for a study tour for academic credit to secure approval of the appropriate Dean at the institution to which credits are to be transferred prior to participating in the study tour course. Failure to secure prior approval for transfer of credit may result in credit received for the study tour not being applicable to the student’s degree program at another institution.
