Regis in Venice 2014

We are delighted to announce a truly unique opportunity: an occasion to travel with fellow alumni of Regis, their spouses and family while at the same time visiting one of the most beautiful and fascinating regions in the world – Venice and the Veneto – in a way that only a handful of visitors experience it. Guided by Georgetown University faculty members Frank Ambrosio ‘67 and Deborah Warin, and in the convivial company of Regian travelers, we will share unforgettable experiences: the sleek modern and ancient beauty of Verona; an exclusive visit to a breathtaking private Palladian villa in Vicenza; the sanctity of both the sacred and secular pilgrimage and university city of Padua, the Scrovegni Chapel, and the Basilica of St. Anthony; the thrill of arriving in a private vaporetto in the ever mystical Venice, with an inside look at its historic and artistic wonders – the Titians, the Tintorettos, the Bellinis.

Our travel dates are May 25 through June 3, 2014.
The trip has been designed to be affordable while offering comfortable and welcoming surroundings in the center of each city. By capitalizing on the cost saving of a solid group of twenty or so travelers, we are able to offer this unique program at a great price, $3350. The price will include hotel right in the old city centers of Verona and Venice, some meals, and all admissions to museums and other attractions, ground transportation, as well as the expert guidance and full explanation of the historical background and significance of the vast array of riches the region holds. Airfare is not included; more complete details are in the full itinerary which is attached. For full details of the itinerary and program, go to Tours:Venice and the Po Valley, and look under the dropdowns.
Don’t delay. Space is limited, and a group from the Regis in Florence tour in 2011 who initiated this event has already registered. Call one or two of your classmates and make a deal with them to take advantage of this unique opportunity to experience one of the most beautiful, enjoyable, and fascinating cultural destinations in the world under near ideal conditions. See the attached Itinerary for a day by day description and full information, and if you have any questions or would just like to talk about the possibilities, write to or call us at 703 448 5611.
